Casemiro And Marcus Rashford On Target As Red Devils Book Last Four Spot

Man United edge past Palace to reach Carabao Cup semi-finals

Casemiro and Marcus Rashford on target as Red Devils book last-four spot

Manchester United reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Casemiro opened the scoring for United in the 43rd minute with a powerful header from a Christian Eriksen corner, and Marcus Rashford doubled the lead just five minutes later with a clinical finish after being played through by Antony.

Bruno Fernandes wrapped up the victory with a third goal in the 70th minute, slotting home from the penalty spot after Victor Lindelof had been fouled by Odsonne Edouard.

The win was United's second in a row in all competitions, following their 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

Conclusion

The victory was a welcome boost for United, who have had a difficult start to the season. Erik ten Hag's side are now unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions and will be hoping to continue their good form when they face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
