CEST (Central European Summer Time)
CEST, or Central European Summer Time, is a time zone that is used in many countries in Europe during the summer months. It is two hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and one hour ahead of Central European Time (CET). CEST is observed in Spain from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October.
Time Zones in Spain

Summer Time
Spain observes Daylight Saving Time (DST) from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. During this time, clocks are moved forward one hour, so that Spain is in the CEST time zone.
Winter Time
From the last Sunday in October to the last Sunday in March, Spain observes Central European Time (CET), which is one hour behind CEST. During this time, clocks are moved back one hour.
Exceptions
There are a few exceptions to the general rule that all of continental Spain observes the same time zone. The Canary Islands, which are located off the coast of northwestern Africa, observe Western European Time (WET), which is one hour behind CET. Additionally, the autonomous city of Ceuta, which is located on the coast of northern Morocco, observes Central African Time (CAT), which is one hour ahead of CET.
